Ericson 38 - Hafa Adai (hah-fah -day)
Hafa Adai (hah-fah -day), an Ericson 38, is a very comfortable cruiser with a surprising level of sail performance. In fact, she has surprised a lot of competitors on the Southern California racing circuit. Since arriving in the Pacific Northwest, Hafa Adai has been outfitted with lots of creature comforts for comfortable cruising. With her efficient and manageable rig, fin keel and large spade rudder a couple can confidently short-tack to windward.
When it is time to go below, the teak interior, with ample lighting is warm and welcoming. On those chilly nights, crank up the diesel heater/fireplace, grab one of the fleece throw blankets and forget about the cold. Hafa Adai has two spacious sleeping cabins, a head with a separate shower stall and a well appointed galley with a three-burner propane stove. The 6’ 3” headroom adds to the spacious feeling.
Hafa Adai is a Chamorran (Guam) greeting, welcoming friends, strangers or the day. There is no better way to greet a another day of sailing in the Pacific Northwest than on a comfortable and well founded sailing vessel that seems as eager to explore as you are.
