One Week Trip (Sample Itinerary)

Hopscotch, our 50ft Beneteau, under sailTo make it easier for you to plan your week vacation in the beautiful San Juan Islands we offer the following lovely places to explore. There are so many islands and Marine parks to experience that you can't possibly see them in one trip. We know you will want to come back for more!

Day One

Depart Bellingham and spend a great afternoon sailing in Bellingham Bay. Drop anchor in Chuckanut Bay and do some crabbing or gunkholing, then spend an easy night at anchor.

Day Two -- click to see pics--Sucia Island

A wonderful Marine Park with lots of anchoring coves and many miles of trails to hike and beaches to explore. A favorite place not to be missed.

Day Three -- click to see pics--Roche Harbor

Time to get to shore and enjoy this wonderful resort with tennis, swimming pool, gift shops and beaches to enjoy. Drop the crab pot in the bay before getting your dock space or anchoring out. Fresh made donuts in the cafe are a morning favorite.

Day Four -- click to see pics--Reid Harbor

Reid Harbor at Stuart Island is a favorite anchorage. Row ashore and take a wonderful hike to the lighthouse at Turn Point. It is a beautiful vantage point overlooking Haro Straights and a popular place to watch for the Orca whales.

Day Five -- click to see pics--Friday Harbor

There is a lot to do in this charming seaside town. The whale museum is one of the popular sites along with shopping and great seafood restaurants that overlook the ferries coming and going.

Day Six -- click to see pics--Inati Bay

Inati Bay is on Lummi Island it is a favorite last night stay with a sandy beach and hiking trail. Put your crab pot out here and enjoy a delicious seafood dinner on your boat. There is good holding ground and lots of folks stern tie to the shore. Be sure to follow how the other boats are anchoring. Bellngham Yacht Club leases and keeps it up and opens it to all boaters. Day Seven

Enjoy the cruise through the islands on your way back to Bellingham. Take a few last photos at the dock for your memory books!
