Ahoy Sailors!

A Few Quick Notes:

We can’t wait to spend a magical week on the water with you! A few things to mention before we see you.

Almost everything is included in the price you paid, but a few things are not, and we don’t want anyone to be surprised.

Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere, and ATM machines are located in Loreto. We recommend having a few Pesos on hand, but no need to go to a bank ahead of time. If you have AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon your phone should work just fine (make sure you have an internationl plan). We will also have Starlink internet on board the sailboat.

The drinking water on the boat is sea water that has been filtered through the boats Reverse Osmosis system and is safe and delicious to drink. If you have your own water bottle to bring along, that can be a great way to stay hydrated and help us save on our plastic use! We will also have lots of flavored canned water and other drinks aboard.

Here are the things not included in the price:

1) Any Alcohol you wish to bring aboard. If you are arriving in Loreto a day or so before your trip with us begins, we recommend going to one of the grocery stores in town to find what you need. If you are coming straight to the marina from the airport, that is no problem. There is a small store at the marina that has liquor, beer, and wine.

2) Fishing Licenses. We will be “Fishing” the whole time. But not everyone needs a license. We can sort this out once you are aboard. Licenses can be purchased online, and are about $25 for the week.

3) Any meals off of the boat are not included. There may be an opportunity to go ashore to a small restaurant depending on our route. We will also do our final dinner together at the Marina on Friday Evening. Dinner will be at the restaurant above the marina and is not included.

4) Crew Gratuities (typically 15-20%) are not included in the price and are greatly appreciated! It’s why we do what we do!

One of the highlights of our adventure is the delicious food you’ll be enjoying.

We always try to have the freshest, most local, and delicious food aboard, but we do have a few challenges to deal with: limited space aboard for food storage, limited access to ingredients (Mexico and Alaska can both have provisioning hurdles!), and of course, once we leave the dock we won’t be heading down to the local 7/11 to pick up what we forgot! So for all these reasons (and a few more) we try to be as discerning and meticulous as we can when provisioning the boat. What this means is that we need YOU to please be as specific as possible, and don’t hold back on what you like and don’t like! Your captain for example cannot stand tomatoes (don’t worry we’ll have tomatoes aboard:), despite loving salsa and ketchup!

So please take a moment to fill in the sheet below, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
