Why Skagway?

Skagway, Alaska is our favorite place on earth, which is why we call it home. In the Spring and Late Summer you’ll find us sailing and adventuring around Skagway, in the deepest, and longest fjord (and possibly the windiest!) in North America, the Lynn Canal and Taiya Inlet.

Captain Brendan first came to Skagway in 2010, and for an unusual reason… He’d heard that Skagway was windy, and it certainly is!

When not sailing, Brendan loves to Kiteboard and Wingsurf, and generally play in the wind. There’s not a prettier, windier place that we’ve found than Skagway. Although he came for the wind and water, he quickly fell in love with everything else this amazing place has to offer…the mountains, the hiking, and perhaps most of all, the people that call this place home. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more welcoming, interesting, and fun community anywhere.

Join us for a magical day of adventure, learning, and relaxing aboard Hopscotch, our 50’ sloop. Let us show you why we fell in love with this magical place at the very end of the Inside Passage.

In July and August we offer week-long sailing adventures a bit further south in Fredrick Sound. Check out our Southeast Adventure here.
